April 17, 2021

Dr. A. Z. Hilali (IR Expert): Prime Minister Imran Khan has always emphasized to eradicate the menace of Islamophobia and promote peaceful coexistence. UAE has an important place in foreign policy of Pakistan. Both the countries have cordial relations in the domains of economy, security and defense. The brethren Muslim countries share common view regarding Islamophobia and terrorism. UAE is working as a bridge of harmony in South Asia. The Emirates can play a significant role in eradicating Islamophobia and sensitize the West regarding the catastrophic consequences of this trend. Pakistan and UAE have an understanding that religious harmony is imperative for peaceful coexistence. It is high time to spread real message of Islam and counter any wrong perception prevailing in western world. UAE has changed the dynamics of regional politics.

Dr. Shaheen Akhtar (IR Expert): UAE is an important partner of Pakistan and a number of Pakistani expatriates are serving there. The visit of Shah Mahmood Qureshi is important in building mutual trust as well as resolving the issues of Pakistani workforce in UAE. According to recent reports, UAE is also helping to bridge differences between Pakistan and India. The US is going to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan soon, and it will be an important opportunity for Pakistan to consult with brother Islamic countries on future scenario. To counter the threat of rising Islamophobia, all Muslims countries should come together to demand West the stopping of this practice. Islam is a religion of peace and it teaches us to respect all religions and faiths.

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Naeem Khalid Lodhi (Defense Analyst): India is habitual of maligning Pakistan through falsehood and fabricated propaganda. Pakistan must stay vigilant and make counter narrative to deal with Indian misinformation. Islamabad must collect all the evidence against India and take the case to international courts. We need to learn new methods of warfare and prepare our forces in accordance with the latest techniques of hybrid war.
