United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has said that all Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank lack legal validity and constitute a violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions.
UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said during the daily press briefing that António Guterres expressed deep concern over Israeli authorities granting "city" status to an Israeli settlement in the occupied West Bank.
The UN Secretary-General emphasized that Israeli settlements remain a major obstacle to achieving a two-state solution and establishing lasting peace.
Meanwhile, three Palestinians were martyred and seventeen others injured in the latest Israeli drone attacks targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip.
