Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has stressed the need to strengthen primary healthcare and neonatal services to improve child health.

Addressing the 28th Paediatric Conference in Islamabad today, he called for enhanced efforts to improve maternal and child nutrition, expand immunization coverage and strengthen the prevention and treatment of childhood diseases.

He said the Parliament, the government, healthcare institutions and global partners must work together to ensure that child health receives the attention and sustained commitment it deserves.
