Analysts slam Indian ‘guided’ tours of foreign diplomats as a decoy on plight of Kashmiris
February 18, 2021

Syed Fakhar Imam (Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research): Pakistan has a very clear stance on IIOJ&K that Kashmir is a disputed territory.  International media has truly exposed the worst human rights violations in the held valley. The incumbent government has taken corrective measures to expose Indian brutalities in IIOJ&K at the international front. It is a diplomatic victory of Pakistan that the global community  and United Nations have also condemned persecution of Kashmiris in IIOJ&K. Pakistan has successfully convinced the global community that Kashmir is an unresolved issue between two nuclear states. The world powers must take practical steps to resolve the issue in accordance with the UN resolutions to avoid unfavorable situation in the region. The people of Kashmir have been rendering matchless sacrifices for the last over seventy years for their legit right to self-determination. Pakistan acknowledges the continuous struggle of Kashmiri people which have been denied their due rights by India. India is being led by a terrorist who is responsible for Gujarat massacre. The Hindutva ideology is posing a serious threat to regional peace and stability. The Indian fascist government has turned the Muslims living in India as second class citizens.  Minorities in India are in a miserable situation. India's deteriorating ties with neighboring countries expose New Delhi's hegemonic agenda. Free plebiscite is the only solution to Kashmir dispute. We are hopeful that sooner or later, the people of Kashmir will be free from Indian oppression.

Ali Sultan (International Law Expert): Situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been misrepresented by Indian government. Islamabad has taken corrective measures to highlight the true human rights situation in IIOJK. The UN Human Rights Council has also been urged to send independent observers to IIOJ&K to monitor the actual human rights situation in the held valley. If India has nothing to hide in Kashmir, it should allow the independent observers and international media to visit the occupied valley.

Sikandar Shah (International Law Expert): India wants to portray a false picture of Kashmir to hoodwink the global community regarding the state of affairs. India's claim of normalcy in IIOJ&K is based on falsehood. Modi has highly militarized the entire valley and there is no peace. Pakistan is committed to sensitize the world regarding the actual human rights situation in IIOJK. India has been committing the worst atrocities in IIOJK, including torturing and killing of innocent civilians, to suppress the indigenous freedom movement. The UN observers must visit the held valley independently to gauge the actual situation. India has also violated China's sovereignty. Pakistan needs to pursue the issue of Kashmir in legal manner. India wants to project Kashmir as a peaceful place which contradicts the ground reality.

Jamal Aziz (International Law Expert): India has changed the status quo and Pakistan should take advantage of this opportunity by taking the international community on board. India has always propagated against Pakistan to declare it a terrorist state. India's false narrative had damaged Pakistan's position on Kashmir case. However, the circumstances have changed now. Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state. It is high time to collect evidence of India's worst human rights violations in the held valley and present it to the world powers. The individual cases can be highlighted to sensitize the global community regarding Indian brutalities in IIOJK. Indian government is violating international laws and committing war crimes in the held valley. We have to take practical measures to stop India's state sponsored terrorism.
