Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Chaudhry Salik Hussain has termed the establishment of a special bench in Islamabad High Court for overseas Pakistanis as a positive development.

In a statement, he said the initiative will overcome the legal obstacles being faced by Pakistanis living abroad regarding their property issues.

He said the step will also help accelerate the resolution of longstanding legal property disputes and provide a focused judicial avenue to overseas Pakistanis.

Chaudhry Salik Hussain said the cases, which would be filed in this special court, will be resolved within ninety days, ensuring a swift and efficient judicial process that protects the interests of the Pakistani expatriates.

The Islamabad High Court, in a significant development, had established a special bench dedicated for overseas Pakistanis, seeking legal redress of their property disputes.

Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar appointed Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro to exclusively hear cases, appeals, and revisions submitted by overseas Pakistanis.
