Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched the Assistive Devices and Wheelchair Program for Persons with Disabilities in Lahore on Friday.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister distributed the gifts of specially designed electric wheelchairs and remote controlled Scotties amongst the differently abled persons.
Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that government is working for welfare and betterment of weak people. She said that completion of public welfare projects and serving differently abled persons is her dream.
She lauded the tireless efforts of the Punjab Social Welfare Department for successful implementation of the public welfare projects.
She said that under the Chief Minister's Himmat Card Program, quarterly financial assistance worth 10500 rupees is being provided to special persons.
