A Jirga of tribal elders was held in Wana, South Waziristan to mark the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos.

The tribal elders offered Fateha for the martyrs and paid homage to their sacrifices.

The Jirga appreciated the operation and expressed full confidence in the unity of the tribal people and the security forces.

The jirga emphasized peaceful resolution of the land disputes in Gurgura and Ghundak and appealed to the elders to play their role.

The participants had a detailed discussion on peace, development and recognition of military sacrifices.

They pledged to continue full cooperation with the security forces to establish peace.
