Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has directed the power distribution companies (DISCOs) to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during Muharram-ul-Haram particularly on 9th and 10th of Muharram.

In a statement, he also ordered all power distribution companies to remain on high alert saying that no negligence will be tolerated in the continuous supply of electricity on the routes of Majalis and processions

The Minister for Power further directed to get all transformers on the feeders of Imambargahs and Majalis repaired before 7th of Muharram.

He instructed establishment of main Control Rooms to ensure uninterrupted power supply saying that additional transformers, vehicles and other necessary equipment should be kept ready at each Sub-division across the country to deal with any kind of emergency.

Sardar Awais Leghari also directed all the power distribution companies to remain in close contact with the district administration and police.
