Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities to ensure the best arrangements and strict security measures across the province during Muharram especially Ashura .

In a directive issued today, she ordered the formulation of a comprehensive security plan to maintain law and order.

Maryam Nawaz said Rescue 1122 services, field hospitals and mobile clinics will remain available round the clock during Muharram.

She said QR code panic button facilities are also being provided at four thousand seven Imambargahs across Punjab to ensure immediate assistance in emergency situations.
