Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has assured Chinese investors of the government's full support and facilitation for investment in Pakistan's pharmaceutical and healthcare sector.

Addressing Pakistan-China Business-to-Business Investment Conference on Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Biotechnology in Islamabad, he said no obstacle would be allowed to impede Chinese investment in the country.

He highlighted the vast investment potential of Pakistan's pharmaceutical and healthcare market.

Referring to reforms in the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), the Federal Minister said it has been transformed into a vibrant institution over the past year. He noted that the registration process for medical devices, which previously took around two and a half years, has been reduced to about twenty days through digitization. He said that DRAP processed four thousand and seven hundred registration cases during the last eight months.
