In the United States, thousands of protesters started 'Climate Week' in New York ahead of the UN General Assembly's high level debate urging world leaders to end use of fossil fuel.     

The protest is part of an international campaign by climate activist groups to drive climate change action and stop global warming. 

Under the campaign, over 500 protests are planned in the United States, Germany, England, South Korea and India.
