Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has categorically stated that no one will be allowed to march on Islamabad in light of the detailed judgment of the Islamabad High Court.

He was addressing a news conference along with Minister of State Talal Chaudhary in Islamabad today [Friday].

The Minister said the law enforcement agencies have been directed to act promptly and decisively if anyone attempts to violate the Islamabad High Court's order.

Talking about the Kohat blast, he said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government must direct its efforts towards ending terrorism in the province rather than devoting its energies to mobilizing people for protests.

Mohsin Naqvi suggested that the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and his cabinet should focus on fighting terrorism to eliminate this menace from the country instead of wasting energies on long march.

He reaffirmed the government's resolve to protect the lives and property of the people at all costs as well as to stop this kind of protest. He said there should be a difference between political rallies and well-equipped gangs.

He reiterated that the law enforcement agencies are fully capable of thwarting any attempt to disturb the law and order situation in the country.

The Interior Minister made it clear that organizers of the long march will be responsible for any loss of human life.

He, however, expected that better sense will prevail as the sane elements of the opposition will review their decision of protest as it will incur a loss to the country's economy.
