Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif has severally criticized the government on rising inflation in the country.
Speaking on a point of order in the House this evening, he said recently increases in prices of petroleum and electricity has opened the flood gate of inflation in the country.
He said hundreds of thousands have lost their jobs due to unprecedented inflation in 74 year history of Pakistan.
Shahbaz Sharif said prices of essential items including oil, ghee and other things have gone out of the reach common people.
He said even the sick people are facing difficulties in purchasing the medicines at exorbitant rates.
He said the Opposition will mobilize the people against the menace of inflation and inaptness of the government.
Later, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan moved the motion to discuss Uswa-e-Hasna of the Holy Prophet Sallallaho Alyhe Wasallam.
PML-N Leader Khurram Dastgir Khan pointed out lack of quorum and upon counting, it was revealed that the House was not in order that’s why the chair adjourned the House to meet at 4 p.m on Wednesday.
