Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Shibli Faraz says government will investigate the Broadsheet matter to identify the elements that damaged national economy.

In an interview with a private television channel, he said Pakistan has to pay a heavy amount demanded by Broadsheet in the wake of proper investigations.

The Minister said though the matter is 20 years old yet government will have to probe the scandal shortly.

Lamenting over attitude of the past rulers in the country in the recent past, he said they earned billions of rupees through kickbacks and unfair means and then benefited from NRO.

He said the leaders of PPP and PML-N, inflicted colossal damages to economy of Pakistan through wrongdoings.

Shibli Faraz said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government came into power on the promise of accountability and assured that accountability against the corrupt leaders of PPP and PML-N, will continue till the recovery of the looted money.
