Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig (Economist):Third Round of Pakistan-China Bilateral Political Consultations is a welcoming step for both countries. The two sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, and agreed to expand and reinforce political and security cooperation, bilateral trade, economic and financial cooperation, cultural exchanges, tourism, and people-to-people ties. China is the only country which helped Pakistan in this crucial economic crunch and injected over 1 billion dollars funds in the economy of Pakistan.It is appreciable that China has consistently and generously supported for economic stability of Pakistan and the humanitarian assistance during the devastating floods in 2022. Pakistan and China will further strengthen dialogue and cooperation in multilateral platforms.

Dr.Talat Shabbir ( Director Pak-China Study Center at ISSI):China is iron brother and time tested friend of Pakistan. The friendship between the two countries is based on mutual trust. Beijing and Islamabad have always supported each other at international forums. The high-level dialogue between the two countries in Beijing is a welcoming step and it will leave positive deep impacts on the economy of Pakistan particularly. For Economy of Pakistan, there is need of structure reforms. Pakistan will have to provide conducive environment for international investors. Meanwhile, it is also very important when we sign Free Trade Agreement with some country, then it is imperative to safeguard rights of local traders as well.
