Indian troops harassing Kashmiris during CASOs despite holy month of Ramadan

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops are harassing Kashmiris, particularly women and children during cordon and search operations despite the holy month of Ramadan.

According to KMS, the troops subjected women to molestation, youth to brutal torture and children to harassment during the violent operations in the various areas of the valley. An old woman was recently shocked to death during the military operation in Pulwama.

Hurriyat leaders Shabbir Ahmed Dar, Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party and Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami expressed concern over the gross human rights violations by Indian occupational forces in the territory.

Meanwhile, posters continued appearing in different parts of the territory including Srinagar against Modi government’s efforts to promote Hindutva in IIOJK.

National Conference General Secretary, Ali Muhammad Sagar noted that situation in IIOJK can not be improved untill withdrawal of August 5 decision. 

Jammu and Kashmir Young Mens League in a statement paid glowing tributes to the prominent freedom leader, S Hameed Wani, on his 23rd death anniversary who was brutally murdered in police custody.

A protest rally was held in Muzaffarabad against India’s illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir and blatant rights violations by the troops in the territory.
