May 19, 2025

Multinational company Deloitte has reiterated its commitment to work closely with Pakistan to support its reform and development agenda.

The understanding was reached during a meeting in Islamabad today, between Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb and a high-level delegation of the company led by its Managing Director Richard Longstaff.

The meeting focused on the operationalisation of Country Partnership Framework and leveraging Deloitte's technical advisory and global experience for Pakistan's ongoing initiatives in different sectors, including health, climate, energy, mining and minerals and the public-private initiatives.

The Minister appreciated the company's continued engagement and interest in supporting Pakistan's development priorities.

He emphasized the government's commitment to leverage private sector expertise to fast-track structural reforms and promote productivity and export-led economic growth.

The Minister reaffirmed that the government is focused on climate resilience and population management both of which are being supported through significant funding.

He underscored that at this stage of Pakistan's reform journey, it needs strategic, tactical support and global expertise from bilateral and multilateral partners.

The meeting also discussed future collaboration and defining key priority areas where Deloitte's assistance can be instrumental.

The Deloitte team expressed strong appreciation for Pakistan's positive economic indicators.

The two sides agreed to maintain close coordination and work jointly on identifying high-impact, outcome based initiatives that align with Pakistan's economic development and transformation vision.
