Pakistan wins World Masters & U17 IBSF Snooker Championships

Pakistan has won World Masters and Under-17 IBSF World Snooker Championships 2025 in Bahrain.

In the World Masters final, Pakistan's snooker player, Mohammad Asif defeated India's Brijesh Damani by 4-3.

In the final of U-17 World Snooker Championship, Muhammad Hasnain defeated Riley Powell of Wales by 4-0.

President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated Muhammad Asif on winning the World Snooker Championship.

In a statement, the President said Muhammad Asif defeated Indian player Brijesh Damani in the final to win the title.

He said Muhammad Asif made the nation proud with his outstanding performance.

Asif Ali Zardari said the success in the world competition is a testament to the ability, determination and hard work of Pakistani players.

Praising Muhammad Asif's dedication, courage and professionalism, the President said Muhammad Asif proved that Pakistani players are no less than anyone at the global level.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Muhammad Asif on winning the World Masters Snooker Championship and Hasnain Akhtar on winning the World Under-17 Snooker Championship.

In a statement, he said Pakistani snooker players are proving their mettle all over the world.

He said Muhammad Asif has been making history in the world of snooker for many years. He said now Hasnain Akhtar has also written his name in golden letters in history by winning the Under-17 Snooker Championship.

The Prime Minister said the entire nation is proud of these sons. He prayed that may Allah Almighty grant them more success in the future.
