Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has said over 1.75 million registrations have been completed under the Prime Minister's Fuel Relief Scheme.

Addressing a media briefing in Islamabad today, she said that around 1.5 million tokens have been generated.

The Minister said that 680,000 tokens have already been redeemed at petrol stations across the country.

Shaza Fatima said that a 24-hour control room has also been established at the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication to receive and address complaints.

The Minister said beneficiaries facing problems at petrol stations or during registration could lodge complaints by calling 9771.

She emphasised that the entire registration and complaint process has been kept on ordinary SMS to ensure that people without smartphones or internet access can also benefit from the scheme.
