Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Alhamra Muhammad Nawaz Gondal has said that the promotion of arts and culture is Alhamra's top priority, and efforts are being made to expand the scope of quality cultural activities.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari, he said the renovation of the Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts has been completed in record time in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

Muhammad Nawaz Gondal said cultural activities at Alhamra had increased fivefold this year compared to the previous year, providing greater recreational opportunities to the public and contributing to an increase in Alhamra's revenue.

He said the revival of family theatre at Alhamra has been made possible by the vision of the Punjab government and the special attention of Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari.
