President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have commended security forces for conducting successful operations against terrorists in Kalat and Gwadar.

In their separate statements, they paid glowing tribute to Major Wajahat Waheed who embraced martyrdom in an IED blast in Pasni. They extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyred Major and prayed for the elevation of his ranks.

The President reaffirmed that every conspiracy by terrorists’ foreign sponsors and their local facilitators would be thwarted.

The Prime Minister reiterated the resolve to continue the fight against foreign-sponsored terrorism until its complete eradication.
