The European Union has imposed sanctions on ten military leaders of Myanmar as well as two giant military conglomerates, demanding return of the elected government.

In a statement, the EU member states said that the sanctions include, freezing of assets and visa bans.

It said the individuals are responsible for undermining democracy and serious human rights violations.
