The NASA's Ingenuity helicopter has successfully completed its historic flight on Mars and safely landed back on the surface.

The drone, called Ingenuity, is the first powered, controlled flight by an aircraft on another world.

Confirmation came via satellite on Mars which relayed the chopper's data back to Earth.
