Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry has said the maintaining political stability is the government's top priority, and all issues of national interest will be resolved amicably.
He was addressing a joint news conference flanked by Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi in Islamabad on Sunday.
The Minister of State emphasized that the economy is improving due to political stability in the country.
Highlighting the importance of the One-Document Regime, he said all foreign nationals, including Afghan citizens, can visit Pakistan with legal documents.
In his remarks, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said the inauguration of the Overseas Pakistan Foundation Conference and the Mineral Conference not only enhanced the country's image but also demonstrated the influx of foreign investment into Pakistan.
He described the visit of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to Afghanistan as a positive development and stressed that such tours should continue in the future with adequate representation from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
He also called for convening a meeting of the Council of Common Interest to address provincial reservations regarding water issues.
Faisal Karim Kundi criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government for its extravagant spending during the Lahore Bar Council elections, pointing out that, on the other hand, university faculty members in the province have not been paid their salaries due to a shortage of funds.
