
A seminar titled "Evolving Global and Regional Scenario and Challenges for Pakistan" organized by the Forum of Information Group Secretaries was held in Islamabad today.
Former National Security Advisor Nasser Janjua, Acting Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, and Director General, Institute of Policy Studies, National University of Sciences and Technology, Dr. Ashfaque Hassan Khan, along with eminent scholars, former information secretaries, journalists, and key personalities, actively participated in the seminar.
The speakers discussed the evolving regional situation and future prospects following Pakistan's emergence as an important global player, particularly in the context of the 'Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding' and the landmark victory in 'Marka-e-Haq'.
Addressing the seminar, former National Security Advisor Nasser Janjua said Pakistan has a very bright future despite that it is currently passing through difficult times. He emphasized that Pakistan is becoming an indispensable global player in the comity of nations, noting its unique ability to maintain strong, simultaneous relations with both China and the United States.
Regarding the global economic situation, Director General, Institute of Policy Studies, National University of Sciences and Technology, Dr. Ashfaque Hassan Khan said it will take three to four months for the situation to return to normal after the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
In his remarks, Acting Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal said a new security architecture will emerge in the Middle East, which will be linked with South Asia in the future.
