President Dr Arif Alvi says launch of billion tree Tsunami project by Prime Minister Imran Khan was a big milestone to deal with the grim issue of decreasing forestry level in the country.

Addressing a ceremony in Karachi on Saturday, he said it is fortunate that the current leadership is sincere with the country in order to make it clean and green and cope with the impacts of global warming.

The President said our religion also lays emphasis on keeping the environment clean and green. He said the billion tree project has a distinct position in making our country clean and green.
