Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani met his Belarus counterpart Sergei Aleinik in New York on the sidelines of the 78th Session of the UN General Assembly.

The two sides discussed bilateral cooperation, including a review of the progress made in implementing the agreements reached during the 6th Session of the Pakistan-Belarus Joint Economic Commission in January 2023.

Both the parties expressed their commitment to enhancing collaboration within international and regional organizations. In this regard, Foreign Minister Aleinik extended gratitude for Pakistan’s support of Belarus's bid for membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The two Foreign Ministers also affirmed their commitment to advancing and strengthening the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Belarus.
