President of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu arrives in Islamabad today on a three-day state visit to Pakistan.

He will be accompanied by First Lady Sajidha Mohamed and a high-level delegation comprising Cabinet Ministers and senior officials.

During the visit, President Mohamed Muizzu will meet his Pakistani counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, who will also host a state banquet in his honour.

The Maldivian President will also hold one-to-one and delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The two leaders will review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations and explore avenues for further strengthening cooperation in diverse areas.

A number of agreements and memorandums of understanding covering diverse areas of bilateral cooperation are expected to be signed during the visit.
