A massive earthquake of 6.8 magnitudes on the Richter Scale jolted various parts of the country tonight (Tuesday).
Director General Pakistan Meteorological Department Mahr Sahibzad Khan told Radio Pakistan that earthquake tremors were felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Kohat, Lakki Marwat, D I Khan, South Waziristan and other areas of the country.
He said that the epicenter of the earthquake was Afghanistan's Hindu Kush region, while its depth was 180 kilometers.
The Director General said no loss of life or damage to property was reported so far.
