Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has directed to improve facilities at hospitals and educational institutes of Pakistan Railways.

He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Friday to review matters related to Pakistan Railways.

The Minister directed for improving the performance of schools and enhancing the capacity of dispensaries and hospitals. 

Underscoring the need to reduce expenses and set clear targets, he announced a detailed review of the performance of Pakistan Railway Advisory & Consultancy Services in June.

The meeting was told that 44 dispensaries and 8 hospitals are providing low cost and quality treatment to railway employees while more than two hundred thousand outdoor patients are also getting treatment at these hospitals.
