Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Shafay Hussain along with an official delegation, held a meeting with Ontario’s Minister of Economic Development Victor Fedeli, in Toronto.

Appreciating the growing economic engagement between Pakistan and Canada in recent years, the two Ministers exchanged views on the potential for enhancing trade, investment and commercial exchanges between Punjab and Ontario provinces.

Shafay Hussain highlighted agro-food, agri-tech, value addition and supply chain management in dairy, livestock, poultry, energy, and Himalayan pink salt sectors as low lying fruits for deepening Punjab-Ontario economic engagement.

The two sides also discussed technology transfer and promoting business to business linkages between the two provinces.
