Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said no violent group will be allowed to march on Islamabad.

Addressing workers in Kohat today, he made it clear that no one would be permitted to block roads or disturb law and order.

Attaullah Tarar said it was ironic that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was busy with photo shoots in Lahore while his own province was facing terrorism.

He said the Chief Minister should have sat on a footpath in Kohat, as he did in Lahore, to express solidarity with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Attaullah Tarar said the provincial government should explain what it had done for education, health and public welfare.

He said the PTI government in the province only knows how to post statements on social media. He added that even a forensic laboratory is not available in the province to facilitate the police.

The Minister further said that contracts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are awarded to favourites for kickbacks and that new records of corruption are being set in the province.

Later, responding to questions from media persons, he said peaceful protest was not the tradition of the PTI. He said peaceful people do not come out of their homes carrying slingshots and sticks fitted with nails.
