Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill says Prime Minister Imran Khan would soon announce targeted subsidy on essential items for the poor.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday evening, he said the targeted subsidy would be provided on the essential commodities, including sugar, flour and Ghee.

The Special Assistant said the entire world has been facing high inflation due to Covid-19.

He said the government has been doing its best to protect the poor from the price-hike.

Shahbaz Gill said moral values and ethics should not be compromised in journalism and politics.
