APHC concerned about Hurriyat leaders’ plight in jails
November 21, 2021

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has lashed out at the Modi-led fascist Indian regime for inhumanly treating Hurriyat leaders and activists in jails.

The APHC spokesman in a statement said that the way the Kashmiri political prisoners, the prisoners of conscience, are treated in Indian jails has no parallel in the human history.

The spokesman hailed steadfastness of incarcerated APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik and thousands of other detainees languishing in Tihar, Agra, Jodhpur, Karnal and other Indian jails for the only ‘crime’ of demanding right to self-determination as promised by the United Nations Security Council.

The Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement in a statement, said that the Indian troops were committing the worst kind of brutalities and were arresting innocent Kashmiris during cordon and search operations.

Meanwhile, in a statement an Indian civil society group, the Concerned Citizens Group, led by former Indian Minister Yashwant Sinha, expressed concern over the civilian killings in Hyderpora fake encounter, and sought a judicial probe to uncover the truth.

The Group emphasized the need for a political solution to the Kashmir dispute through a dialogue with all stakeholders.
