January 22, 2021

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security, Dr Moeed Yusuf says Pakistan wants to pursue bilateral relationship with the United States, based on mutual understanding.

He was addressing a gathering of US policy makers at the Washington based think tank Wilson Center titled “US-Pakistan Relations in the Biden Era”.

Dr Moeed said the Pakistan-US relationship should be unconditional and not clouded by US interests in other regional countries.

He said the world has undergone immense transformation in the past four years and the new US administration should look beyond Obama-era to build a truly bilateral relationship with Pakistan.

The Special Assistant said we wish to achieve a peaceful region where international obligations are met by all countries.
