Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz says transparency in political system is inevitable for strengthening democratic norms.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad today (Monday), he said the PTI, as per its manifesto, is committed to end the culture of corruption in political system.

The Minister said the government is working to introduce electronic voting system to make the next general elections transparent.

He said open balloting in Senate polls will help discourage corrupt elements, therefore, the opposition should fulfil its promise made in Charter of Democracy.

To a question, Shibli Faraz said timely measures to control the prices of essential commodities are yielding positive results, as prices of various goods are declining.
