Pakistan has reaffirmed its support for a Syrian-led transitional justice and national reconciliation.

The support was expressed by Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad while speaking at the Arria-Formula Meeting on Transitional Justice and Missing Persons in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The Permanent Representative stressed that transitional justice is vital to promoting reconciliation, restoring trust, strengthening social cohesion, and addressing the legitimate expectations of victims and their families.
