Punjab government has launched "Apna Muweshi Apna Hi Rozgar” programme to economically empower rural women in the province.

Under the scheme, free livestock is being provided to eligible rural women. 

In the first phase, the programme has been launched in 13 districts, including Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Taunsa, Bahawalnagar, Khanewal, Vehari and Lodhran.

Widowed and divorced women up to 55 years of age are eligible for the programme and they can apply online through the Chief Minister Facilitation Desk.
