Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has formally assumed his diplomatic duties as Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States in Washington DC. 

The Ambassador held a detailed meeting with the heads and officers of all the departments of the embassy.

In addition, he met the heads of the four consulates of Pakistan in the United States through Zoom and received briefings on various issues.

Talking to the officers, the Ambassador said the relationship between Pakistan and the US has been very important for the past seven decades. He said promotion of Pakistan-US relations, especially strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the economic sector, and the promotion of public relations are among his top priorities.

Rizwan Saeed Sheikh said the Pakistani community in the US is the most valuable asset of the country. He said Pakistani community has not only established its own unique identity through its hard work and dedication, but is the strongest link in Pakistan-US relations.
