The Pakistan Bar Council has distanced itself from PTI propaganda, clarifying that a statement issued by eight of its twenty-three members reflects their individual views and does not represent the Council's collective position.

In a statement, the Council's Vice Chairman said the Pakistan Bar Council, as an institution of the legal fraternity, must remain above political interests and personal agendas.

The Council strongly condemned the statements issued by the eight members and dissociated itself from them.

It also rejected a statement issued by the Lahore High Court Bar Association, saying such statements do not represent the collective position, policy or views of the Council or the legal fraternity.
