Analysts impress upon the world to make collective efforts for betterment of Afghanistan
September 22, 2021

Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert): Taliban have asked to give them an opportunity to present their stance in front of the global community. Afghanistan needs great attention at the moment and it is the responsibility of the world community to make collective efforts to rebuild the war ravaged country. Pakistan is playing its role to restore peace in Afghanistan. Civil war and political instability in Afghanistan would bring catastrophic consequences. It is high time that the global powers make concrete efforts for a stable and inclusive government in Afghanistan. It is need of the hour to endorse every initiative taken for Afghan peace. International community must recognize the Taliban's government and help them avert humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

Ali Sarwar Naqvi (Former Ambassador): UNGA session is a great opportunity for Pakistan to present its stance in front of the world. It is an effective platform to highlight the regional and global issues. Establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan is a matter of concern for the world right now. It is high time to make collective efforts for betterment of the country. Pakistan is trying its level best to maintain peace in the region. It is appreciable that the incumbent government is pursuing an effective diplomacy to highlight Pakistan's role in global peace. The Indian fascist regime has crossed all limits of atrocities in the IIOJ&K. It is highly unfortunate that the global powers have maintained criminal silence on Indian brutalities. Pakistan is committed to continue its diplomatic efforts to sensitize the world regarding the Kashmir issue. The world must realize that Kashmir is a nuclear flashpoint and any confrontation between India and Pakistan can lead to devastating results.

Dr. A. Z. Hilali (IR Expert): Pakistan must remember that great powers pursue their own interests and not friendships. The United States has its own interests in Afghanistan and does not care about the moral and ethical obligations. Pakistan is helping Afghanistan on moral grounds for the country’s reconstruction and facilitate the Kabul government to come out of war trauma. The international community must assist the Afghan government to normalize life in their country. The global powers should recognize the government of Taliban and move forward. The West must rescue the people of Afghanistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan is pursuing an effective diplomacy to sustain peace in the region. Islamabad is very much on the side of the rest of the world as far as recognition of the Taliban government is concerned.
