144 more deaths due to Coronavirus infection were reported in the country during the last twenty four hours.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre, 5,870 new positive cases were diagnosed in a one day and positivity ratio remained 10.90 percent.

The death toll due to pandemic has now reached 16,842 and there are now 84,976 active cases in the country.
