Pakistan, Zimbabwe vow to strengthen trade ties

Pakistan and Zimbabwe have reaffirmed mutual commitment to strengthening trade, investment, and regional cooperation.

The resolve was expressed during a meeting between Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan and Zimbabwe's Ambassador to Pakistan, Titus Mehliswa Johnathan Abu Basutu in Islamabad.

The Minister emphasized the potential to deepen economic ties between the two countries.

He also highlighted Pakistan's active outreach under its "Look Africa Policy".

Zimbabwean emissary invited Pakistani investors to explore promising opportunities in Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, a delegation from the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by Secretary General Zulfiqar Butt called on Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan in Islamabad.

They discussed various avenues to promote regional trade cooperation, particularly with Bangladesh.

The delegation informed the Minister about the visit of a trade delegation to Bangladesh after Eid.

Jam Kamal Khan assured Government's support and facilitation for the delegation's initiatives.
