The United Nations has allocated sixty million dollars to combat the growing Ebola virus outbreak in Central Africa.
In a statement, UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Tom Fletcher warned that the outbreak is unfolding in some of the world's "most difficult" humanitarian environments, where armed conflict and mass movement of civilians threaten containment efforts.
Meanwhile, World Health Organization has raised the public health risk from the Ebola outbreak from "high" to "very high" in Congo.
