Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has conferred the honorary fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan regarding Cardiac Surgery to President of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, in Islamabad today.

The fellowship was awarded in recognition of his services in public health, medical education, medical research, and his dedicated service to society.

The conferment of the fellowship will further strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Iran in the field of medicine, particularly between medical colleges of both countries.

It will also promote collaboration in medical education, institutional academic exchanges, medical research, and the exchange of faculty members and examiners.

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, was also present on this occasion.
