Widespread intermittent rain with wind, thundershower expected in upper parts

Widespread intermittent rain with wind and thundershower is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, Northeast Balochistan, southeast Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan during next twelve hours.

Heavy to very heavyfalls may also occur at isolated places during the period.

Temperature of major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad and Quetta twenty-four degree centigrade, Lahore and Peshawar twenty-six, Karachi twenty-nine, Gilgit twenty, Murree fifteen and Muzaffarabad twenty-two degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir,  cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind and thundershower is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anatnag shopian and Baramula.

Temperatures recorded this morning:          

Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramula eighteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-five, Leh eight, Pulwama and Shopian seventeen degree centigrade.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has warned of significant rise in water levels in rivers and streams across Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to accelerated snow and glacier melt, coupled with recent rainfall.

According to the PMD, the prevailing conditions can trigger localized flooding and riverbank erosion.
