Seerat Conference in Lahore highlights teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH)

A Seerat Conference was held at Alhamra Cultural Complex, in Lahore in connection with the sacred month of Rabi-ul-Awwal.

The Conference was jointly organized by Lahore Arts Council Alhamra, Growth Ventures and Global Media Communication with the aim to promote the teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatam-un-Nabiyyeen Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alahe Wasallam.

A large number of religious scholars, writers, poets, Naat Khawans and distinguished personalities from different walks of life attended the conference.

The proceedings commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alahe Wasallam. Opening remarks were delivered by Shehzad Roshan Gilani.

Addressing the conference, the speakers said the sacred month of Rabi-ul-Awwal inspires Muslims to seek guidance from the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alahe Wasallam, incorporate his teachings in their daily lives and convey the message of mercy and compassion to the younger generation.

On the occasion, competitions of Naat recitation, calligraphy and public speaking were also held to provide an opportunity to the participants to showcase their talent.

A panel discussion on Seerat-un-Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alahe Wasallam and its relevance in the contemporary world was also held. The discussion was moderated by Haneen Zaidi.

The panelists including Pir Tariq Sharifzada, Syed Ejaz Bukhari, Hafiz Muhammad Usman and Mufti Muhammad Ahmed Shahbaz highlighted the timeless teachings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alahe Wasallam and their significance in addressing contemporary challenges.

Distinguished guests including Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Member Punjab Assembly Samia Shahani and others were present on the occasion.

The Naat recitation competition was adjudged by Alhaaj Akhtar Rasool Qureshi and Naveed Akram while the calligraphy competition was adjudged by Asghar Ali, Muhammad Imran and Jamshed Qaiser.

The ceremony concluded with a Naatia Mushaira in which renowned poets paid glowing tribute to the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wa Alahe Wasallam through their devotional poetry.

At the end, cash prizes and certificates were distributed among the participants who secured top positions in the Naat recitation competition.
