The National Assembly was informed today that Pakistan has achieved significant digital growth, with mobile subscribers reaching approximately two hundred ten million and a teledensity of over eighty-three percent.

During the Question Hour, Parliamentary Secretary for Information Technology and Telecommunication Sabheen Ghoury informed the House that mobile broadband users have reached one hundred sixty-one point seven million, reflecting strong digital adoption across the country.

She said the surge in mobile broadband usage has led to a shift from traditional fixed broadband services.

Regarding the service quality, the Parliamentary Secretary said the surveillance teams of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority regularly monitor network quality service and issue directives to cellular operators to resolve the problems and enhance performance.

Sabheen Ghoury clarified that there is no increase in the rates for 5G mobile services.

The House also offered Fateha for the four police personnel martyred during an anti-terrorist operation in Karak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

MNA Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri led the prayers for elevation of the ranks of the martyrs.

The House has now been adjourned to meet again on Monday at five in the evening.
