The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the rising atrocities against unarmed civilians In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC affiliated parties in their separate remarks said that Indian troops, operating with impunity are brutally suppressing Kashmiris’ peaceful demand for freedom.
Highlighting the latest incident of brutal torture of four innocent Kashmiri laborers by Indian troops in Kishtwar district, these parties pointed out that this savage incident has further exposed the brutal face of the occupying Indian troops.
On the other hand, the Indian authorities are continuing their policy to dispossess Kashmiris of their rightful properties
Critics argue that such actions are part of a broader strategy to alter the territory’s demographic makeup by displacing local Kashmiris and allocating their land to non-local settlers.
Meanwhile, Islamabad-based Kashmir Institute of International Relations has urged the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to address the ongoing political repression in IIOJK and the worsening conditions of Kashmiri prisoners languishing in Indian jails.
In a letter, KIIR Chairman Altaf Hussain Wani raised concerns over the increasing use of draconian laws to imprison thousands of Kashmiris, including pro-freedom leaders for peacefully demanding their right to self-determination, as recognized by the UN Security Council.
