June 24, 2026

India’s weak currency, strict visa conditions and immigration crackdowns have damaged the future of Indian students worldwide.

According to the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) the number of Indian students going to Britain and the US has decreased by twenty percent in the last two years, and a further fifteen percent decline is expected in future.

The director of an American research institute has pointed out that stricter visa policies are linked to fake degrees and corruption facilitated under the patronage of Indian politicians.

According to BBC, in the United Kingdom, seventy six percent of universities reduced the number of Indian students in January admissions.

The BBC reported that the rapid decline in the value of the Indian rupee has increased difficulties for Indian students studying abroad.
